Short-Term Training Program (STP) in Biology
The STP-bio program at IISER Pune was started to provide students from outside the IISER Pune system to spend between a semester to a year doing project training in a lab of their choice.
These projects are conducted on a purely voluntary basis. Typically there are two times for intake-
- August session
- January session
As of now the form-based application has been suspended. In case of interest directly contact the Researcher (principal investigator) in whose work you are interested
Mode of selection
- The student contacts (ideally via email) the researcher/faculty and convinces him/her of the fitness to work in the lab
- Subject to availability of space, projects and resources the candidate is pre-approved by a researcher
- Selected students are informed by email
- If the work is done as part of a thesis, a certificate of having completed the work at IISER Pune will be provided on request by the researcher/faculty concerned.
