Poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase
PARG catalyses the degradation of poly ADP-ribose chains on all core histones. The immediate effect is that the histones are free to reconstitute back with the DNA to form chromatin in in vitro conditions. PARG works in synchrony with PARPs to coordinate regulation during DNA excision repair events (PMID: 1326536, PMID: 17548475).
