Histone H2A deubiquitinase MYSM1

MYSM1 belongs to the peptidase M67A family. It deubiquitinates H2A at lysine 119 position. MYSM1 contains multiple domains but predominantly catalysis the deubiquitination of H2A. It also facilitates the exclusion of histone H1 and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation (PMID: 17707232).
