Abstract : The main objective of this talk is to describe how one can obtain certain planar scattering amplitudes from the geometry of some polytopes (more generally positive geometries) living in the kinematic space. For massless scalar \\phi^4 theory this particular positive geometries are known as Stokes polytopes. These polytopes were introduced by Yuliy Baryshnikov in 2001. The canonical form on these Stokes polytopes contains all the information of the planar amplitudes. Properties like locality and unitarity of the amplitudes are manifest from the geometric properties of these polytopes.
