Hullabaloo, the daycare facility at the institute, was inaugurated by Prof. K N Ganesh, the then Director of IISER Pune, on February 27, 2015. The centre is currently housed in three apartments on the first floor of housing Building D till the construction of the permanent daycare building is completed. The daycare is open to children of IISER Pune's teaching and non-teaching staff, and students. A limited number of places are available for children from other academic institutes too. Children from the age group of 3 months are eligible to be enrolled. The daycare is also open to guests of IISER Pune but prior approval is required from the Daycare committee.
 
The daycare timings are from 9:00 am till 6:30 pm Mondays to Fridays and from 9:00 am till 4:30 pm on Saturdays. Parents who want to avail of the facility on a one-off basis will require to pay the emergency daycare charges. Various activities are organised for the different age groups. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served during the day.
