1. Online Science Demonstrations Series: Next-Gen Science Camps: Exploring Science At Your Doorstep
In this series conducted by our Science Activity Centre, we will demonsrate exciting science experiemnts and toys that students, teachers and parents can easily make with their own hands, using simple household or trash material, from the safety and comfort of their homes during this lockdown period. The toys and simple activities shown in the series will enable deep understanding of the underlying scientific concepts and instill a spirit of exploration and problem-solving. Every Sunday, we will bring you a new set of experiments from physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, etc. Aimed at students and teachers from middle school and above, the series can be watched by all science enthusiasts.
Dates: Every Sunday, starting June 14, 2020; 11:00 am
2. Online Workshop on Assessments, in collaboration with Pillai College of Engineering, Panvel.
The workshop will discuss the purpose, types and modes of assessment through interactive online sessions. Various assessment tools, including online ones, will be introduced in an activity-based mode. It will help the teachers design their own assessments suited for their subject area. There will be around 3 hours of live online sessions per day, along with home assignments. CoESME members and participants trained in previous national-level workshops by a team of experts from UK will be trainers in this workshop. Dates: June 25-26, 2020

30-30 STEM Workshops
IISER Pune in collaboration with the Center for Creative Learning, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar will be conducting this series of workshops. The main objective of the workshops will be to unlock the hidden mysteries of Science and Mathematics in a fun and interactive way. These workshops will be delivered as YouTube LIVE sessions and are meant for Teachers, Parents, and Students of all disciplines and ages. Click here for further details and registration.

Webinar Series for the 21st Century Teacher: Teaching The Next Gen (In collaboration with Royal Society of Chemistry) Demands of 21st century have transformed the traditional chalk–talk teaching model to one driven by technology. Educators across globe are striving to invent innovative methods to sustain student engagement in e-learning modules. This series of 12 webinars for middle- and high-school teachers will focus on digital pedagogies and their applicability in digital classrooms. Webinars will cover topics such as addressing learners psychology, student engagement, assessment techniques, simulation based learning, etc. Bringing together experts in the field of education, this webinar series aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice of digital education. 1. Online Workshop on Introduction to Research-based Pedagogical Tools (RBPTs), in collaboration with Sophia College, Mumbai.
This workshop is designed to introduce teachers to Research-based Pedagogical Tools (RBPTs), that focus on process of science rather than information, and help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The workshop will be conducted in fully digial mode, with ~3 hours of live online sessions per day, along with asignments and group work. Even in the online mode, all sessions will be participative and activity based. CoESME members and participants trained in previous national-level workshops by a team of experts from UK will be trainers in this workshop. Teachers from all science disciplines, teaching UG or PG level courses can participate. Dates: May 24-29, 2021
