The observation of the $t\bar{t}H$ production of the Higgs boson at the CMS experiment and future prospects

Abstract:
The production mode of the Higgs boson in association with a pair of top quarks ($t\\bar{t}H$) is particularly interesting since it allows to probe the tree level top quark Yukawa coupling. The search for the $t\\bar{t}H$ process at the CMS experiment will be presented (with a special emphasis on the search in the diphoton decay channel of the Higgs) that led to the first experimental observation of the $t\\bar{t}H$ process. The future prospects of further studies of the $t\\bar{t}H$ process will also be discussed, including precise measurements of the top quark Yukawa coupling and tests of the CP structure.
