Abstract:
Formed as a consequence of India-Asia collision, the Himalayan Foreland Basin gave rise to the Neogene Siwaliks and its modern counterpart the Indo-Gangetic Plain, which serves as a natural laboratory for comparison and validation of fluvial models world over.
