developments towards understanding the topological properties of QCD lattice QCD. Consequences of such findings for different physical <span style="\\"color:" rgb(0,="" 0,="" 0);="" font-family:="" \\"segoe="" ui\\",="" \\"lucida="" sans\\",="" sans-serif;="" font-size:="" 14.16px;\\"="">phenomena especially for axion cosmology will be discussed.
