Prof. Satishchandra B. Ogale
Prof. Ogale is Chief Scientist, Physical and Materials Chemistry Division, and Co-ordinator, Center of Excellence in Solar Energy, NCL, Pune.

Dr. Ogale will discuss the scenario of solar energy taking some examples from his own research on Dye and Quantum Dot Sensitized Solar Cells, photo-electrochemical (PEC) water splitting and visible light photocatalysis. He will also discuss research in allied fields such as batteries and supercapacitors, with innovative inclusion of functional carbon. Further, he will discuss some examples of the use of suitably engineered high surface area carbon for water purification.
