Abstract:

Machine learning algorithms are increasingly being used to gain insights into molecular biology. I will talk about examples of Bayesian mixture models developed in my lab to identify diverse

regulatory mechanisms hidden in datasets arising from highthroughput sequencing assays. Some of the methods are fairly general and can be adapted to problems in other domains as well.
