Dr. Murali Sastry
Dr. Murali Sastry was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Chemistry (2003), he created the Nanotechnology Centre at NCL, Pune, set up the Innovation Centre at Tata Chemicals, and is currently Director of the India Innovation Centre for DSM.
Dr. Murali will address the issue of innovation, with particular reference to India. He will discuss frugal, sustainable and Gandhian engineering/innovation models that are relevant to India that will impact the large ‘Base-of-pyramid’. He will then leave the audience with some of his thoughts on what makes a true innovator and what ingredients constitute a culture of innovation’.
