Scattering Amplitudes of Massive Vector Bosons from Generalized Recursion

Abstract: We use the recently developed massive spinor-helicity
formalism of Arkani- Hamed et al. to study a new class of recursion
relations for tree-level amplitudes in gauge theories. These relations
are based on a combined complex deformation of massless as well as
massive external momenta. Furthermore, we explore the advantages of
the generalized recursion by studying tree-level scattering amplitudes
involving a pair of massive vector bosons and an arbitrary number of
gluons in the massive spinor-helicity formalism. We show that for a
specific colour-ordering of the massive particles with respect to the
gluons, the generalized recursion relations are more efficient as
compared to BCFW recursion relations.
