About the speaker:
Prof. Aseem Ansari is a founding director of Khorana Scholars and S. N. Bose Scholars programs for exchange of students between USA and India. He is a recipient of many awards and honors such as Romnes faculty fellowship and CAREER award (National Science Foundation).

Prof. Aseem Ansari's lab at University of Wisconsin-Madison studies gene expression at the interface of Chemistry and Biology. His current areas of research include the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA PolII in transcription regulation, Mechanisms transcription factors modifications and Design & synthesis of artificial transcription factors (ATFs) in regulation of gene expression.
