On the prime geodesic theorem for the Picard manifold.

I will introduce the prime geodesic theorem in two and three dimensions, and prove a pointwise upper bound on the remainder in three dimensions as a consequence of an estimate for L-functions attached to symmetric square of Maass cuspnforms for the Picard manifold. This is an ongoing work joint with D. Chatzakos and N. Laaksonen.
