42nd Annual Meeting of the Indian Biophysical Society (IBS)
Date: March 9-11, 2018

About: IBS is a registered society started in the year 1965, with the aim of providing a platform for biophysicists to meet and discuss developments in the area. The society currently has a membership of about 1000 and has several distinguished international scientists as honorary members.
The theme of the IBS meeting is "Emerging Trends in Biophysics", and will include sessions on all aspects of biophyiscs ranging from Protein Folding, Structure and Function to Nucleic Acids Biology and Ion Channels and Membrane Biology to Neurobiology.
A satellite meeting on "Archiving and Enriching Structural Data in Biology" during March 12-13, 2018. The satellite meeting aims to showcase the various analytical tools to query these data and to establish guidelines for archiving and annotation of the data, and for development of analytical tools keeping in mind future growth and innovations in experimental and computational techniques.
