Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations Oct 02, 2017
IISER Pune is happy to announce a special event to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October, 2017. There will be two talks (one in Hindi and one in English) and a Q&A session on Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy on truth, tolerance, non-violence, and swaraj. Speakers will particularly highlight how Gandhi's thoughts resonate a lot with scientific pursuits - pursuing truth/knowledge by a series of falsifications and validations, without claiming that our "hypothesis" is ultimate truth. Tolerance and non-violence would naturally emerge when these ideas are practised with integrity.

Date &Time: 2nd October, 10.00 am to 12.00 noon.
