INSPIRE Science Camps is a scheme initiated by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India under its INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired REsearch) program to attract and retain a large number of students in basic sciences and to promote research and innovation. The camp is for bright young students studying in 11th standard and is intended to expose them to the excitement and methods of science, research and innovation, just prior to the time when they make their career decisions.
The students participating in this five-day residential camp will have an excellent opportunity to interact with the best scientific leaders of this country. The camp would provide thought provoking lectures, open discussions, hands-on lab sessions, and group activities. The aim is to facilitate self-learning through close interactions, and encourage independent thoughts and inquiry-based questions. In addition, students would be taken for visits to IISER Pune labs and would also be shown inspiring scientific documentaries.
There is no registration fee for the camp. Participating students will be provided free boarding and lodging on campus, local transport, and study materials for all five days of the camp, along with some transport allowance.

Application Process:
- Applications will be accepted through schools and junior colleges only.
- We request you to kindly recommend five to ten top scoring students based on their class 10th board examination marks. The recommended students should not have attended any previous DST-INSPIRE science camp elsewhere.
