INSPIRE Science Camps is a scheme initiated by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India under its INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired REsearch) programme. The camp is meant for class 11 Science, and aims to motivate and excite young minds about sciencet and provide a glimpse of current innovations in research, just prior to the time when they make their career decisions.
The students participating in this five-day camp will have an excellent opportunity to interact with the best scientific leaders of this country. The camp would provide thought provoking lectures, open discussions, hands-on lab sessions, and group activities. The aim is to facilitate self-learning through close interactions, and encourage independent thoughts and inquiry-based questions. A special feature of this time's camp is that Nobel Laureate, Prof. Eric Wieschaus has agreed to interact with the students at the camp.
