Overview: A team from Sheffield Hallam University, UK and Indian experts on education and policy will conduct this 3-day workshop. It will introduce participants to research-based pedagogical tools that focus on the process of science rather than facts. It will be a hands-on workshop with participants preparing their own teaching tools and reviewing those of others. The teachers will also get an opportunity to share their own teaching innovations with peers and experts.
Eligibility: Teachers teaching any discipline of basic science or mathematics with either a masters degree + 10 years teaching experience or a PhD degree + 5 years teaching experience are eligible to apply. Highly motivated/exceptional candidates with lesser experience may be considered. Teachers teaching MSc courses in basic sciences are also welcome to apply.
Venue: IISER Pune
Participants of the RBPT workshop held at IISER Pune in March 2015 need not apply as contents of this workshop are the same.
