Webinar 7: Putting Learners in the Driving Seat: A Project-Based Learning Approach

Date: October 24, 2020

Time: 4:00 pm

Live on YouTube

Speakers:  Mr. Aakash Chowkase (Doctoral Researcher, Purdue University, USA); Ms. Sarita Gosavi (Faculty, Anand Niketan, Nashik)

Abstract:
Project-Based Learning is a learner centric, dynamic pedagogical approach to actively engage students through real-life explorations and experiences. Learners choose an area of their interest, ask questions, choose relevant methods of inquiry, gather information, find answers, create models, and present their learning to others. Along with acquiring academic skills and content knowledge, this process also develops  life skills such as communication, collaboration, decision making, and problem solving. In this interactive talk, we will discuss the tenets of project-based learning and how teachers can take on this holistic learning approach in real school settings.
