Workshop on 3D Animation for Science Communication

Graphics and animation are used widely to communicate scientific ideas and concepts. The innate flexibility of the medium allows us to showcase a  range of ideas - from the inside of an atom to the vast expanse of galaxies. Many scientific journals have now embraced this medium for communicating research, in addition to the print form. The Science Media Centre at IISER Pune has planned this short workshop on 3D Animation for Science Communication to train students in this area.

This two-day workshop will give an orientation on basics of graphics and animation. Major part of the workshop will focus on 3D animation workflow and techniques to create science teaching & learning materials. By the end of the workshop participants will be able to understand and create 3D objects and animate them with 3D animation tools.
