Instructions to the selected candidates of 1st year BS-MS program 2014
IISER Pune will start its new academic year (Semester 1) on Thursday, July 31, 2014. The candidates are requested to report with the required material and certificates at 10.00 a.m. at IISER New campus, Dr Homi Bhabha Road, Pashan, Pune – 411 008 (Contact No : IISER Main campus – 020-25908101).
The directional map is given below. Please remember that non-reporting on this day may lead to cancellation of admission in IISER. Orientation and Classes will commence from August 01, 2014.
The candidates are required to bring the following documents on the day of reporting (July 31, 2014):
1. Admission Form original.(Only for candidates who have sent the documents by Email)
2. Medical Report form original. (Only for candidates who have sent the documents by Email)
3. Original and 1 copy of 10th STD and 12th Std. certificates and mark sheets, IIT-JEE Score Card / KVPY Certificate / Inspire Certificate (as applicable)
4.Original and photocopy of the Category certificate (In case applicable) (SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped) and validity certificate (ST/ST/OBC Applicants) through which the candidates have applied and got admission at IISER. In case the candidate belongs to OBC Category, he/she will have to submit Non Creamy Layer Certificate issued on or after April 01, 2014.
5. The original Leaving / Transfer certificate issued by the last school attended.
6. Six passport size colour photographs.
7. Copies of the photo ID proof (5 copies) required for opening bank account, mobile connection etc.
8. Copy of Permanent Account Number (PAN) issued by the Income Tax Department (if available) and a copy of permanent address proof (Adhaar card/electricity bill etc.)
9. In case the candidate has savings bank account with any of the branches of State Bank of India (SBI), please bring the photocopy of the first page of the pass book having the candidates name and account number. Though we will facilitate the process of opening of bank account with SBI local branch, it is recommended that the candidate may open an account in SBI Branch at his/her convenience before reporting and bring photocopy as mentioned above. The monthly fellowship will be deposited in SBI account opened in the candidate’s name.
10. The original documents except the Leaving / Transfer certificate will be returned after verification.
Please note that all candidates will be provided with a Single Bed, Single Mattress, study table and wardrobe. Room is on sharing basis (2 students per room). However, candidates are requested to bring their own bed sheets, bedspreads, pillows and pillow covers, bucket, mug, cloth hangers 2 window curtains (approx 4.5 Ft height and 7.5 Ft. length), door mat, dustbin etc in required quantity. Candidates can also buy them from local market in Pune. Please note that use of heating coils / immersion rods, Hot Plate / Electric cooking range, Music System/Speakers etc is strictly forbidden in the hostel.
Please note that the accompanying parents/guardians will not be permitted to stay overnight in the hostel with their respective wards.
