HULLABALOO, the day-care facility for IISER Pune employees was inaugurated today by Prof. K. N. Ganesh, Director of the Institute. The centre will be managed by Apple Blosom under supervision of the IISER Day Care Committee, and will start functioning from Monday, March 3rd, 2015. On the occasion, Prof. Ganesh lauded the efforts of the Day Care Committee and others who were instrumental in setting up the facility, and encouraged all the parents at IISER to avail of this service.
The centre is well-equipped with a kitchen, dining room, nap rooms and areas ear-marked for activities like reading, music and art. Separate outdoor play areas for younger and older children are available. Trained personnel will supervise the children throughout the day. Meals and planned activities for the children along with emergency medical care will be provided. Pick-up facility from the IISER main gate is also arranged.
Working parents of IISER Pune can make use of this facility for their children from the age of 3 months onwards. The facility is also available for visitors and temporary cases.
