Centre of Excellence in Science and Mathematics Education (CoESME) at IISER Pune is organising a full-time residential induction programme for newly recruited teachers of undergraduate courses in basic sciences under MHRD's Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMMNMTT) Scheme.

This programme will orient them on various aspects of teaching-learning, instructional methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, and use of ICT. It will also equip them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration which is essential for their teaching career.

As per Draft UGC Regulations, induction programmes under PMMMNMTT are expected to be considered at par with Orientation Programmes of UGC for Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) requirements.

Selection process: Applying does not automatically guarantee that a candidate will be selected for the workshop. In addition to the basic eligibility above, we may use other criteria based on the received applications to shortlist candidates depending on the number and quality of applications received.

 

Support: Selected participants will be provided double sharing accommodation and food, for the entire duration of the course. Outstation participants will be reimbursed round trip 3-tier AC train fare (shortest route) from place of residence. Participants are expected to stay for the full duration of the programme. It is mandatory for all the participants to attend all sessions.
