Induction Programme for College Teachers
This is a full-time residential programme under MHRD's Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMMNMTT) Scheme for newly recruited teachers of undergraduate courses in basic sciences.
This programme will orient them on various aspects of teaching-learning, instructional methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, and use of ICT. It will also equip them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration which is essential for their teaching career.
As per recent UGC Regulations, induction programmes under PMMMNMTT are equivalent with Orientation Programmes of UGC for Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) requirements.
Dates: May 1-25, 2019
Venue: Guesthouse-cum-Convention Centre, IISER Pune
Eligibility criteria:
- Committed and motivated new teachers (regular / ad-hoc / visitiing / CHB) keen to adopt learner-centric methods, new approaches to teaching- learning and assessment tools in higher education of basic sciences
- Age less than 35 years (as on May 1, 2019)

One to three years of teaching experience at undergraduate level
Selection process: Applying does not automatically guarantee that a candidate will be selected for the workshop. In addition to the basic eligibility above, we may use other criteria based on the received applications to shortlist candidates depending on the number and quality of applications received.
Support: Selected participants will be provided double sharing accommodation and food, for the entire duration of the course. Outstation participants will be reimbursed round trip 3-tier AC train fare (shortest route) from place of residence. Participants are expected to stay for the full duration of the programme. It is mandatory for all the participants to attend all sessions.
