COESME at IISER Pune in association with the DBT (Govt. of India) and the Newton Bhabha Fund (British Council) is organising:
Pedagogy Workshops
for Teachers of Undergraduate Science and Mathematics Courses
Overview: A team from Sheffield Hallam University, UK and Indian experts will conduct this workshop. It will introduce participants to research-based pedagogical tools that focus on the process of science rather than information. It will be a hands-on workshop with participants preparing their own teaching tools and reviewing those of others. The teachers will also get an opportunity to share their own teaching innovations with peers and experts.
This is an opportunity for professional development for all teachers and the chance to network with counterparts from various colleges and education experts from India and abroad.
There are no charges to the participants selected for this workshop. Travelling Allowance will be paid to selected participants.
Eligibility: Teachers teaching bachelors or masters courses in basic science or mathematics with either a masters degree + 10 years teaching experience or a PhD degree + 5 years teaching experience are eligible to apply. Highly motivated/exceptional candidates with lesser experience may be considered.

2. October 11-14, 2017 at Sacred Heart College, Kochi, Kerala
3. December 10-13, 2017 at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat
