Recruitment for Faculty Positions in the Centre for Data Science

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier Autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for the promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the positions of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor in the Centre for Data Science from candidates possessing an excellent academic record and relevant work experience.

The Centre for Data Science is a new initiative of the Institute that is planned to grow into an independent Department of Data Science in few years.

We seek to fill multiple positions in fields related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical learning, data science and big data computing. Researchers who work on foundational and application aspects of data science, and have an excellent track record of publications in the relevant areas, are encouraged to apply. The Institute is especially seeking senior-level candidates having an outstanding record of published research who can provide leadership to this initiative. Candidates must have a strong commitment to both teaching and research. Interdisciplinary collaboration and close interactions with IISER scientists working in a variety of disciplines will be encouraged and facilitated.
