Dr. Sagar Pandit (Assistant Professor, Biology) has been elected as a Life Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, UK.
Founded in 1833, the Royal Entomological Society works towards development and promotion of entomology. It facilitates international collaboration, research and publications related to the study of insects. The Fellowship of Society is granted to those making substantial contributions to entomology through research and other academic achievements over the past few years of work.
Dr. Sagar Pandit, who has been elected a Fellow, is a chemical ecologist investigating multi-trophic ecological relationships between plants and the various organisms that interact with them. His group investigates the mechanisms by which plants, the herbivores that feed on them and their natural enemies influence each other at the genetic and physiological level.
We congratulate Dr. Pandit on this accolade and wish him the best.
