Dr Siddhesh Kamat. Assistant Professor in Biology at IISER Pune and Wellcome-DBT IA Fellow, has been selected for the UAA-ICT Distinguished Alumnus Award in the Young Achiever category for the year 2019.

Instituted by the UDCT Alumni Association (UAA), this award recognises alumni of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) achieving significant milestones at a young age. The award will be presented at the UAA Foundation Day Celebrations to be held May 10, 2019 at ICT, Mumbai.

Dr Siddhesh Kamat’s group studies biological processes involved in lipid signaling and metabolism. The group employs chemical probes in conjunction with advanced mass spectrometry based metabolomics and proteomics techniques.
