IISER Pune's international partner, Georg-August-University of Göttingen has announced the eighth edition of:
PiA is intended to awaken the joy of individual experimentation and learn science in a fun way. Every year in the month of December, Prof. Arnulf Quadt and his team at the University of Goettingen run PiA in the run up to Christmas. From December 1-24, a series of small physical experiments that can be carried out with standard household materials are presented every day in the form of videos.
The programme is aimed at students between 11 and 18 years (though science enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to participate). Registered participants have to do the experiments presented in the PiA videos and answer a question on the PiA website. The answer to the question is presented on the following day in a solution video. On getting most answers right, participants stand to win certificates and prizes in the categories of individual, school class or school. The prizes range from books and experimental kits to a ride in a hot air balloon, and more!
Registration is free and opens on 1st November.
