H4R3me2
PRMT5 are required for dimethylation of H4R3 at gama-globin gene locus in erythroid cells. This mark serves as a binding site for DNMT3A (PMID: 19234465). It facilitates subsequent acetylation of H3 and H4, resulting in gene activation (PMID: 16103216).
