E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase DTX3L
BBAP belongs to the Deltex family of proteins. It is known to ubiquitinate histone H4 at lysine 91 position during DNA damage responses. Also loss of H4K91ub is shown to coincide with loss of H4K20 methylation (PMID: 19818714). BBAP is shown to be upregulated in lymphomas that do not respond to chemotherapy. Interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) is reported to regulate the expression of BBAP (PMID: 16809771).
