Serine/threonine-protein kinase tousled-like 1
TLK1 is a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is shown to phosphorylate H3 at Serine10 position and is involved in the process of chromatin remodelling (PMID: 11314006). TLK1 also phosphorylates Asf 1; a histone chaperone. This activity is shown to enhance UV-induced DNA damage repair (PMID: 17054786).
