NAD-dependent deacetylase sirtuin-2

SIRT2 belongs to NAD+ dependent Class III of histone deacetylases and mediates the deacetylation of tubulin in vivo (PMID: 12620231). SIRT2 deacetylates H4 at Lysine 16 position during mitosis which is crucial for the condensation of chromatin (PMID: 16648462). H3K56 deacetylation is mediated by SIRT2 (PMID: 20587414).
