Histone acetyltransferase MYST4

MORF (Monocytic leukemia zinc finger protein-related factor) contains a functional histone acetyltransferase domain, a transcriptional repression domain at the N terminus and an activation domain at the C terminus. It majorly catalyse acetylation of histone H3 and H4 (PMID: 10497217). MORF has been shown to be disrupted in Uterine Leiomyomas (PMID: 15313893). MORF and MOZ together help in the regulation of Runx2 mediated transcriptinal activation (PMID: 11965546).
