H1K25me1
H1.4 K25 (reported as H1K26) methylation is mediated by Ezh2 of the Polycomb repressive complex (PRC2) which is associated with transcriptional repression and might play a role in the formation of chromatin fibre (PMID: 15099518). H1.4K26 is specifically required for the binding of Heterochromatin protein 1 (HP1), whereas simultaneous phosphorylation at S27 blocks HP1 binding (PMID: 16127177).
