H3K79me2
H3K79 dimethylation is cell cycle dependent. Its level decreases during S phase, reaches its lowest level in G2, increases during M phase, and maintains at a high level during G1 phase (PMID: 12123582). H2B 'Lys-120' ubiquitination is a prerequisite for histone H3 'Lys-79' methylation (PMID: 16307923). Dynamics of H3K79 dimethylation has been studied in terms of old and new histones and it has been found that the rate of methylation is almost equal for both types of histones (PMID: 20699226).
