H3K36me2
H3K36 methylation restricts the Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2) mediated spread of H3K27 methylation (PMID: 21239496). H3K36 dimethylation is observed at the site of DNA double strand breaks and helps in the Non homologous end joining (NHEJ) repair mechanism (PMID: 21187428).
