N-lysine methyltransferase SMYD2

SMYD2 catalyses dimethylation of histone H3 at lysine 36 position. It has a SET domain and an MYND domain that forms a unique domain architecture. It has important implications in cell proliferation and cardiogenesis (PMID: 16805913).
