Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase EZH1
EZH1 is part of the Polycomb repressor complex and is found to be abundant in non-proliferative cells in contrast to EZH2 . It mediates H3K27 mono and di methylation but in a weak manner compared to EZH2 thus promoting transcriptional repression (PMID: 19026781, PMID: 8921387).
