Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase NSD3
WHISTLE is a SET domain containing protein which is reported to mediate H3K4 and H3K27 methylation thus facilitating transcriptional repression (PMID: 16682010). NSD3 is shown to be overexpressed in human breast cancers and is supposed to be responsible for the carcinogenesis (PMID: 11374904). NSD3 is also reported to regulate cell cycle and contribute to the invasiveness of breast cancer cell lines (PMID: 20599755).
